About Mele Emidio Mele, an Italian immigrant to the United States, came to New York City in 1896 and learned to make jewelry boxes as an apprentice before founding Mele Manufacturing in 1912. just what i was looking for......big enough but not too small. when i travel i like to keep my jewelry with me at all times....this jewelry box fits into my handbag easily. it has seven spaces for earrings and/or rings. four compartments for bracelets and a place for a couple of necklaces. it even has a mirror! zippered so everything stays safely inside. looks like real leather. perfect!Finally a beautiful and practical case By Lexi
I was always disappointed in the way my jewelry traveled. It got tangled, hard to find in pouches, etc. I just received this box and am finally pleased with the size, the zipper closure and the organizational layout. I don't leave my jewelry in hotel rooms, so the box has to be small enough. But, this is really nicely made and designed. The square shape makes it easier to pack. Also, the dividers come out, so bracelets can be accommodated. I put my stud earrings in the ring sections, and there is ample room for that. There is a mirror and a pouch. hold only a few jewelry and wen i open it some times i dont open it on the right side 'cause both sides are equal causes that all the jewelry inside fall off
